New Palestinian Charter Drops Mention Of Zionism, Sparking Questions
(Huffington Post) -- Marcus Baram --
...The Palestinian National Liberation Movement, known as Fatah, has long been infamous for its original charter's embrace of "the world-wide struggle against Zionism," denial of any Jewish historical or religious ties to the land, and the "eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence."
Fatah, led by Palestinian National Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, met last year to revise its charter for the first time in decades and that revision has just been translated by the Director of National Intelligence's Open Source Center, a copy of which was obtained by the Federation of American Scientists' Secrecy News blog.
The revised charter drops the aforementioned rhetoric about Zionism and Jews -- in fact, it fails to mention Israel, Zionism or Jews at all.
But that does not impress Jewish groups, who note that the charter continues to call for revolution and the liberation of Palestine.
Morton Klein, the president of the Zionist Organization of America, tells Huffington Post that "revolution means only armed military action" and "when they say 'sacrificing soul and blood,' it means that you're willing to die through suicide bombing and military action."
He also questions why Abbas does not explicitly renounce the old charter -- "If I'm the head of Fatah and I really want peace with the state of Israel, say that the old charter is completely null and void, that it's rescinded... Don't play games."...MORE...LINK

"Don't play games," says Morton Klein, as he's busy playing the game of squeezing the last bits of life out of the Palestinian people.
Funny how Zionists and their apologists like to say Jewry's fanaticism and violence is wholly justified because, after all, they have every right to "survive." But judging from the map above, it looks to me like the Palestinians are in far more danger of imminently being wiped off the map than the Jews. Yet where are the Western apologists for aggressive Palestinian push-back? All I here from Western liberals is how Palestinians should be more like Gandhi and lay down like lambs to slaughter.
Actually, they should be more like Jesus when he was physically thrashing the money-changers and aggressively assailing the Pharisees. More Mel Gibson and less Noam Chomsky and Jimmy Carter.
Hmmm. I have to wonder if some of these "pro-Palestinian" Western left-liberals and atheists aren't in fact working for their organized Jewish masters, who are notoriously of the authoritarian-left in their diaspora identity, and in fact comprise a hugely disproportionate number of Democrats in Congress relative to Jewry's less than 2% of the U.S. population, and a disproportionate number of advisers surrounding Barack Obama.
Or perhaps pro-Palestinian liberals mean well, but have just become too corrupted, narcissistic and dumbed-down by Western liberalism to apply any common sense to the Palestinians' plight, and are too conflicted by their general left-wing, anti-religious agenda to really want what's best for any religious people, particularly the hard-core Muslims and Christians of which the few remaining Palestinians are comprised.
Palestinians simply can't afford to role over any more than they already have; a few more roles, and there will be no Palestinian presence left other than in the Gaza concentration camp.
