NYT's Ethan Bronner case is nothing new; Western Jewish Zionist "journalists" have been doing propaganda work for Israel for decades

Recent exposés revealing that Ethan Bronner, the New York Times' Israel-Palestine bureau chief, has a son in the Israeli military have caused a storm of controversy that continues to swirl and generate further revelations. (See my piece for CounterPunch, The NYT's Ethan Bronner's Conflict With Impartiality.)

Many people find such a sign of family partisanship in an editor covering a foreign conflict troubling – especially given the Times’ record of Israel-centric journalism.

Times management at first refused to confirm Bronner’s situation, then refused to comment on it. Finally, public outcry forced Times Public Editor Clark Hoyt to confront the problem in a February 7th column.

After bending over backwards to praise the institution that employs him, Hoyt ultimately opined that Bronner should be re-assigned to a different sphere of reporting to avoid the “appearance” of bias. Times Editor Bill Keller declined to do so, however, instead writing a column calling Bronner’s connections to Israel valuable because they “supply a measure of sophistication about Israel and its adversaries that someone with no connections would lack.”

If such “sophistication” is valuable, the Times’ espoused commitment to the “impartiality and neutrality of the company's newsrooms” would seem to require it to have a balancing editor equally sophisticated about Palestine and its adversary, but Keller did not address that.

Bronner is far from alone

As it turns out, Bronner’s ties to the Israeli military are not the rarity one might expect.

• A previous Times bureau chief, Joel Greenberg, before he was bureau chief but after he was already publishing in the Times from Israel, actually served in the Israeli army.

• Media pundit and Atlantic staffer Jeffrey Goldberg also served in the Israeli military; it's unclear when, how, or even if his military service ended.

• Richard Chesnoff, who has been covering Mideast events for more than 40 years, had a son serving in the Israeli military while Chesnoff covered Israel as US News & World Report's senior foreign correspondent.

• NPR's Linda Gradstein’s husband was an Israeli sniper and may still be in the Israeli reserves. NPR refuses to disclose whether Gradstein herself is also an Israeli citizen, as are her children and husband.

• Mitch Weinstock, national editor for the San Diego Union-Tribune, served in the Israeli military.

• The New York Times’ other correspondent from the region, Isabel Kershner, is an Israeli citizen. Israel has universal compulsory military service, which suggests that Kershner herself and/or family members may have military connections. The Times refuses to answer questions about whether she and/or family members have served or are currently serving in the Israeli military. Is it possible that Times Foreign Editor Susan Chira herself has such connections? The Times refuses to answer.

• Many Associated Press writers and editors are Israeli citizens or have Israeli families. AP will not reveal how many of the journalists in its control bureau for the region currently serve in the Israeli military, how many have served in the past, and how many have family members with this connection.

• Similarly, many TV correspondents such as Martin Fletcher have been Israeli citizens and/or have Israeli families. Do they have family connections to the Israeli military?

• Time Magazine's bureau chief several years ago became an Israeli citizen after he had assumed his post. Does he have relatives in the military?

• CNN's Wolf Blitzer, while not an Israeli citizen, was based in Israel for many years, wrote a book whitewashing Israeli spying on the US, and used to work for the Israel lobby in the US. None of this is divulged to CNN viewers...MORE...LINK

Operationally, Zionism is just like Bolshevism/leftism/left-liberalism in terms of subversive media masquarading as "objective" or "neutral"; in fact, the subversive character of each was honed during the Jewish/Communist partnership in the Soviet Bolshevik era -- a partnership that continues on many levels to this day. Little wonder, then, that right-wing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is building a monument to the Bolshevik Red Army.

Many of the report's recommendations, including the removal of Saddam Hussein, were later pursued by Bush/Cheney.

In the run-up to the Iraq war, Feith worked with Jewish Zionist Paul Wolfowitz in the Pentagon's Office of Special Plans assembling specious "evidence" against Iraq relating to WMD and ties to 9/11 that turned out to be baseless. Despite Feith and Wolfowitz's checkered pasts of double-dealing for Israel from inside the US government in the 1980's and 90's, they were hand-picked for their Pentagon posts by Dick Cheney.

HEIL ISRAEL! Bruce Ivins' terrorist, Judeo-Christian Zionist stand for Israel

A founding father of Communism,Zionist Moses Hess sought a war of conquest against “the German race”

Perhaps no one better personifies the axis of leftist thought, Jewish exceptionalism, and a vision of authoritarian imposition of Jewish messianicism than Moses Hess (pictured above), an early Jewish socialist who was a 19th Century precursor to the Jewish Bolsheviks. Hess was a compatriot of, and tremendous influence upon, Karl Marx (pictured below, himself descended from a line of rabbis), and Friedrich Engels.

The ideas of Marx and Engels became the basis of Communism and socialism through The Communist Manifesto and other seminal leftist writings (a basis that remains to this day), making Hess an intellectual pioneer of socialism. Obsessed with “the race struggle” between ethnic nations for predomination, Hess became a Jewish nationalist socialist bent on the eradication of the "German race" and the imposition of Jewish supremacism -- making him a Jewish supremacist intellectual antecedent to Hitler's mirror image, intellectual Aryan supremacism.

The Jewish Role in the Bolshevik Revolution and Russia's Early Soviet Regime

Russian-born Jewish writer Sonya Margolina goes so far as to call the Jewish role in supporting the Bolshevik regime the "historic sin of the Jews."28 She points, for example, to the prominent role of Jews as commandants of Soviet Gulag concentration and labor camps, and the role of Jewish Communists in the systematic destruction of Russian churches. Moreover, she goes on, "The Jews of the entire world supported Soviet power, and remained silent in the face of any criticism from the opposition."

"Racism originated in the Torah," and other Zionist confessions on the Jewish question

...For if Jewry is not a race, but rather one splinter tribe or "ethnicity" within a larger "racial" grouping, then what, exactly, defines this tribe?

I maintain that Jewry is and always was defined first and foremost by its own ideological racism, and that Jewry actually invented the concept of "race" itself long ago as a polarizing means to maintain its tribal/national continuity and exclusivity, and to serve its elitist "minority strategy" economic interests, and the economic interests and power ambitions of its priest class in particular.

This is not a novel assessment. Indeed, Jewish religious authorities recently openly declared the Jewish origins of racism when they proclaimed that "Racism originated in the Torah."

New York Jewish banker Jacob Schiff was one of the principal backers of the Bolshevik revolution

Jacob Schiff was head of the New York investment firm Kuhn, Loeb and Co, one of the most influential investment banks of the 19th and 20th centuries. He was one of the principal backers of the 1917 Bolshevik revolution and personally financed Trotsky's trip from New York to Russia. (Paul Warburg, heir of the Warburg banking family and son-in-law of Kuhn, Loeb co-founder Solomon Loeb, played a major role in the 1913 creation of the Federal Reserve banking cartel that monopolizes money-creation with U.S. government license to this day.)

The first state-organized genocides and death camps were not originated by Nazis, but by Bolsheviks

Jewish Bolshevik mass murder of Christians, opponents and dissidents was fueled by Talmudism

The Bolshevik Jews did appear to sympathize with Talmudism more than with any other religion. Thus in 1905 the Jewish revolutionaries in Kiev boasted that they would turn St. Sophia cathedral into a synagogue. Again, in 1918 they erected a monument to Judas Iscariot in Sviazhsk, and in 1919 - in Tambov! Perhaps the strongest evidence of the continued religiosity of the Bolshevik Jews was the fact that when the Whites re-conquered Perm in 1918 they found many Jewish religious inscriptions in the former Bolshevik headquarters – as well as on the walls of the basement of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg where the Tsar and his family were shot.
