While uneasy about the asymmetry of the Shalit deal between Israel and Hamas--a thousand Palestinian prisoners ( invariably described in Israel as “terrorists”) for one Israeli--the Israeli and the American Jewish media are also full of hymns of self-praise for us wonderful Jews: the “price” we paid was “a moral victory for Israel,” demonstrates our adherence to “profound Jewish values” such as “the pride in the value we place on every single human life,” is “a sign of humanity” that is “sadly absent in large parts of the world, especially in this region,” and the like. The implication is unmistakable: we are different from them, the parents of the 1000 Palestinians, and the nation they represent, either did not grieve or had no right to grieve over their “children” in Israeli prisons, nor rejoice over their release.

The blatant racism and infuriating claims of moral superiority aside, there are indeed significant differences between the Israeli and Palestinian prisoner situations. While some of the Palestinian prisoners were truly terrorists seeking the unjust cause of the destruction of Israel, surely many others were essentially soldiers in a just cause, national liberation and the creation of an independent state in a small part of Palestine. On the other hand, Shalit was a soldier of a nation whose real cause (continuing the de facto occupation of the Palestinians and Jewish expansion into what remains of their territory) is unjust and whose “profound Jewish values” and “adherence to the dignity of all human lives” does not prevent it—stop me when you think I’m misstating the facts—from occupying, killing, repressing, imprisoning, blockading, and deliberately inflicting deep economic as well as psychological pain on another people...MORE...LINK

Richard Cohen's column in Tuesday's Washington Post, under the headline “Dangerous behavior from Iran,” deserves scrutiny, and not just to pick on Cohen (although he deserves to be picked on for this kind of work). The column exemplifies several of the types of distorted thinking and non-thinking that were critical in pushing the United States into an enormous blunder of a war eight years ago and are threatening a repeat performance with another of the countries in the same part of the world that has a four-letter name starting with “I.” Moreover, the column by Cohen—who on most matters other than stumbling into disastrous wars can be considered a liberal—illustrates how the arguments and attitudes that have greased the skids on which the United States can slide into such a war are not the exclusive province of neocons or others who are the prime movers of such misadventures.

The column begins, unsurprisingly, with the outrage du jour: that strange plot involving DEA informants and a used car salesman in Texas. Cohen has a nifty way to dispose of the chief reason skeptics have found it hard to believe this was an officially instigated Iranian operation—namely, the disconnect between the crazy nature of the plot and the careful tradecraft that the Iranians have consistently exhibited. “I agree” the plot was crazy, says Cohen. “But so is Iran.” It's a rhetorical twofer: not only is the bizarre plot kept in play, but it is done in a way that pushes the main theme of the anti-Iran agitators, which is that Iranian leaders are supposedly irrational and thus cannot be trusted not to do crazy things with whatever capabilities they have, especially a capability as momentous as a nuclear weapon. “The mistake with Iran,” says Cohen, “is the tendency to think its leadership is rational.” But like others who invoke this theme, Cohen adduces nothing in the record of behavior by the Islamic Republic that suggests irrationality and ignores the fact that the record is overwhelmingly one of caution and careful calculation...MORE...LINK

This is a new program I'm trying to implement so I can afford to take the time to do more in-depth articles along the lines of my recent "Neolibs and neocons claim the Democratic Party is anti-Semitic when they know it's actually virulently Jewish supremacist," only longer.

The proposed article, under the working title "Zionism, Trojan horse for neo-fascism," will explore the ways in which Israel and the "plight of the Jewish people" is being manipulated by both elite Jewish Zionists and elite non-Jews as a pretext to a) scam the public into spending billions on wars and bankster bailouts; b) hide behind the smokescreen of "anti-Semitism" accusations to fend off criticism; c) destroy Islamic civilization under the auspices of "progressiveism"; and d) implement neo-fascism.

The idea is to raise $500 in donations via PayPal in increments of at least $25 dollars each (more would be great get the ball rolling faster), so I can afford to take the time away from my regular work to get the analysis researched and published.

In these difficult economic times, it's hard to justify taking the blocks of time away from my shrinking, regular-income work necessary to complete these longer articles without getting some sort of compensation in return. Isn't this one small example of exactly how the free enterprise system (which currently seems to be in the process of being overthrown on a macro level, but that's another article) should be able to at least sustain itself on a micro level? (Trying to keep the faith, here.)

As I'm sure all of you who are regulars here are well aware by now, there's no paying market for this kind of work in mainstream media, which is easily as corrupt as so many of our other institutions, if not more so.

That leaves it up to you.

If the $500 is successfully raised within a certain time horizon, I will let readers know that the project is under way. If the $500 is not raised, the project will be abandoned, and any donations earmarked for the project returned.

I will update readers regularly on the fundraising progress and with reminders of what I'm trying to do. Neolibs and neocons claim the Democratic Party is anti-Semitic when they know it's actually virulently Jewish supremacist

Jewish, neoliberal New York Times columnist David Brooks set off a storm of accusations of "anti-Semitism" against the Occupy Wall Street movement following his October 10 column titled "The Milquetoast Radicals," in which he condemned the movement as "small, contentious and symbolic," and sparked by anti-Jewish sentiments.

"Take the Occupy Wall Street movement," wrote Brooks:

"This uprising was sparked by the magazine Adbusters, previously best known for the 2004 essay, “Why Won’t Anyone Say They Are Jewish?” — an investigative report that identified some of the most influential Jews in America and their nefarious grip on policy.

"If there is a core theme to the Occupy Wall Street movement, it is that the virtuous 99 percent of society is being cheated by the richest and greediest 1 percent.

"This is a theme that allows the people in the 99 percent to think very highly of themselves. All their problems are caused by the nefarious elite."

Influential neoconservative talk radio personality Rush Limbaugh quickly picked up on Brooks' innuendo and took it a step further on his Oct 11 program, inferring that in addition to Occupy Wall Street, the Democratic Party was dabbling in anti-Semitism, as well.

"...the 99% versus the 1% is another angle that the group is talking about here, and Wall Street and bankers, those two terms have been anti-Semitic code for Jews in this country for a long time. Occupier, Occupy Wall Street Now. I’ve often said, I said last week he who controls the definition of words, the meaning of words, controls the debate. He who controls the language controls the debate. There’s a lot of interesting stuff here. Occupy Wall Street Now, 99%, that leaves 1%, roughly the percentage of Jews in the population, too. And Wall Street and bankers have been anti-Semitic code for Jews in this country going back quite a while.

"Now, what’s happening here is that the Democrats...This is where Brooks may be on to something. It’s too early to tell. But the Democrats are embracing this group of people. They are embracing them big time. The Democrats — Jan Schakowsky in Illinois, members of Congress — cannot help themselves...But this Adbusters bunch has a history of anti-Semitism, proud anti-Semitism. (interruption) The article about Jewish “neocons” was just one of their pieces, Snerdley, that you mentioned here, along those lines...So here’s the point: If this group is being organized and paid for by a bunch of anti-Semites and the Democrat Party goes overboard in embracing this group of people, then this could be problem for the Democrat coalition, not to mention the fact that they could unleash a bunch of anti-Jewish racism down there if they’re not careful with this, ’cause there’s much more going on here than you just see at the surface."

Finally, Jewish neoconservative William Kristol, Editor of the The Weekly Standard, co-founder of The Project for a New American Century and chairman of the Emergency Committee for Israel issued a statement inferring that much of the Left in its entirety is anti-Semitic, writing that “It’s not surprising that elements of the modern left are anti-Semitic. It is surprising that respectable liberals have praised the protesters while ignoring the anti-Semitism. Liberals have pretended to see nothing hateful and hear nothing hateful, and therefore have said nothing to rebuke their allies. Will they now speak up?”

Kristol's group then issued an advertisement that inferred leaders of the Democratic Party were supportive of the alleged anti-Semitic current within Occupy Wall Street, and were refusing to "stand up to the mob."

As reported by Ben Smith at Politico:

The Emergency Committee for Israel, a Republican group that's focused primarily on criticizing President Obama's Israel policy, is opening a new front on Occupy Wall Street and the politicians -- notably Nancy Pelosi and Obama -- who have spoken sympathetically of the protests, with a new ad featuring anti-Semitic and anti-Israel signs and incidents into a claim that the events are motivated by anti-Semitism.

"Tell President Obama and Leader Pelosi to stand up to the mob," says the narrator of the spot, which the group says will air in a "substantial" buy in New York and Washington.

Of course, people who know its history and who are familiar with the current state of the Democratic Party know that far from being anti-Semitic, the Party is actually Jewish supremacist, and is probably more so today than it has ever been.

Zev Chafets of The Daily Beast recently encapsulated the Jewish supremacist bent of the Party at the domestic level:

Jews are less than 2 percent of the American population, but they are major players in the Democratic Party. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the chairwoman of the national committee. Steve Israel heads the House reelection committee. The party’s intelligentsia and pundit class have a higher bar mitzvah quotient than the average B’nai Brith bowling team. Three of the four Supreme Court justices appointed by Democratic presidents are Jews. So are a quarter of the members of the Democratic Senate Caucus and 45 congressmen (all but one, Eric Cantor, are Democrats).

The Washington Post has estimated that Jews provide 60 percent of the party’s major individual contributions. The actual stat, according to a Democratic insider privy to unreleased research, puts the figure closer to 80 percent. In 2004, when so-called 527 organizations provided the biggest contributions, four Democratic donors—George Soros, Peter Lewis, Steven Bing, and the Sandler family—coughed up $73 million, more than the next 20 contributors, Republican and Democratic, combined. Jews are not simply supporters of the Democratic Party. They are stakeholders.

Like all stakeholders, Jews—and their interests—are taken seriously. Some are professional: academia, the entertainment industry (which depends on a good U.S. image abroad for much of its income), the high-tech sector, the legal establishment, financial institutions, teachers' unions, and liberal NGOs are all disproportionately run and staffed by Jews...

And what about Democratic Party support for Jewish supremacism at the international level?

President Obama was recently celebrated by even right-wing Israeli press for “the most pro-Israel [U.N.] speech anyone has heard at that world forum for a very long time,” because he "not only adopted all of the Israeli arguments against recognising a Palestinian state by means of the UN, he adopted the basic Israeli narrative.”

Additionally, dozens of Democrats were among the 81 members of Congress from both parties (nearly 1/5 of the entire congressional body) who took a luxurious, all-expenses-paid, Israel lobby-funded junket to the Jewish state that amounted to an indoctrination tour. (Such pro-Zionist, indoctrination trips have been going on for decades.)

This Jewish supremacist Democratic Party leadership is what the neolibs and neocons, the Rush Limbaughs, the William Kristols and the David Brooks', are trying to claim is anti-Semitic? How on earth do these pro-Zionist, quasi-fascists think they can get away with such a big lie?

In addition to being intellectually dishonest propagandists and Israel-first, Zionist lackeys, the reason they're lying about supposed anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party is because they have have nothing to lose by doing so.

They know the Democrats won't point out that even though Jews are under 2% of the US population, 25% of the Democratic Party senators are Jewish, even as there's only one Black Democratic senator (despite Blacks providing something like 25% of Democratic Party votes);

they know that the Democrats won't point out that President Obama has taken more campaign donations from the overwhelmingly Jewish “securities and investment” industry from 1989 through 2010 than any other political figure in the country;

in short, they know that the Democrats can't defend themselves from charges of anti-Semitism by pointing out that the Party of "equality" and "social justice" and "progressivism" is actually a party of racist, Jewish supremacism because that would unmask it for the fraud that it truly is.

So how will the Democrats react? To prove that they're not anti-Semitic, they'll become even more pro-Zionist than they already are...which is exactly the reaction that the Israel first neocons and neolibs are hoping for in their ongoing quest for World War III against Islamic civilization.

Wouldn't it be nice to someday have an America-first, explicitly anti-Zionist party to vote for that would refuse to play into the endless rituals of "anti-Semitism" accusations followed by ever more consequential pro-Zionist and Jewish supremacist policy carried out by the Democrats and Republicans decade after decade? Wouldn't it be nice to have a party that responded to "anti-Semitism" charges by declaring "Yes, we're anti-Zionist and anti-fascist, so what?"

Such a party MUST emerge, and emerge soon, if America is to be saved from the Zionist fascism being ratcheted tighter and tighter by the neolib-neocon two-party regime that currently occupies Washington.

It may be debatable whether organized Jewry was always predatory and fascist, but it's beyond doubt today

Yoav Shamir’s Defamation

Yoav Shamir’s Defamation (2009) is a must-see movie. Shamir is an Israeli Jewish documentary film-maker. His other works include Checkpoint (2003), 5 Days (2005), and Flipping Out (2008).

Born in Tel Aviv in 1970, Shamir professes never to have experienced anti-Semitism, although he has heard about it all his life. He has decided, therefore, to go abroad in search of anti-Semitism, traveling to the United States, Russia, Ukraine, and Poland.
Although Shamir adopts the pose of a naïve observer, he seems to be advancing a thesis. He is apparently opposed to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and to ongoing human rights violations. He believes that Jews use the holocaust and the specter of anti-Semitism to give themselves license to commit evil and to silence their critics.

Throughout Defamation, Shamir cuts back and forth between several different stories. This does not make the movie hard to follow, and in fact it makes it more engaging. But for the purposes of a review, I will separate them out.

Israeli Jews on Anti-Semitism

Before leaving Israel, Shamir told his 90-something grandmother, whose family came to Palestine in the 19th century, long before the state of Israel was founded, about his project. Her response is quite revealing. When told that Jews in the Diaspora complain constantly about anti-Semitism, she says: “Why don’t they come here?” Her answer is that Jews remain in the Diaspora because, “Jews are crooks. Jews love money.” They stay in the Diaspora because they are parasites who “want to live without working,” through usury, “selling liquor,” and other “monkey business.” She goes on to say that she is a “true Jew,” because she does not let money or anything else define her. It is a remarkable statement.

To Western ears, of course, her views sound shockingly “anti-Semitic.” But they were actually shared by Theodor Herzl and the other founders of Zionism, who frankly acknowledged that one reason for anti-Semitism was the parasitic economic profile of Diaspora Jewry: usury, selling liquor, catering to (and promoting) vice, etc. The purpose of Zionism was to create a homeland in which Jews could attain freedom and self-sufficiency without direct, day-to-day competition with non-Jews or temptations to assimilate. It would be interesting to know if her attitudes are merely a relic of an older generation or are widespread among younger Israeli Jews.

Perhaps I am reading too much into the grandmother’s claim that a “true Jew” does not let money or anything else define him, but I read this as a rejection of Gilad Atzmon’s claim that non-religious Jews define their identity purely in opposition to non-Jews rather than in terms of anything positive. The grandmother’s vision of positive Jewish self-assertion and self-definition was part of the original Zionist vision. Zionism is the Jewish version of racial nationalism: the national self-assertion and self-determination of a people, a nation, i.e., a community related by blood. But as Shamir goes on to demonstrate, this Zionist aspiration has largely failed, for Israelis today overwhelmingly define themselves in terms of enmity toward non-Jews.

When Shamir tells his driver about his project, the driver scoffs at the idea that anti-Semitism is something serious, because “Jews run the world.” I assume that the driver is an Israeli Jew and that he is thinking specifically of Diaspora Jews. If so, this indicates that at least some Israeli Jews have beliefs about Diaspora Jews that are labeled anti-Semitic when held by non-Jews.

When Shamir visits a major Israeli newspaper, he speaks to Noah Klinger, an elderly holocaust survivor (complete with numbers tattooed on his arm). This gentleman monitors anti-Semitism around the world. Which countries are anti-Semitic? All of them, it turns out. When Shamir prods him about objectivity, his response is basically “Why do I have to be objective? Were they [the Nazis] objective?” Two wrongs make a right, apparently.

When Shamir speaks to two young Jews at the paper who apparently receive Anti-Defamation League reports from the US and repackage them as news stories, the attitude of the male conveys a certain amount of cynicism about the whole procedure. He thinks he is part of a racket.

Shamir also speaks with Uri Avnery, a former MP and a peace activist, and shows a meeting sponsored by his organization Gush Shalom (Peace Bloc), in which John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, authors of The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy, spoke about their work. Avnery is a very dignified and impressive individual. Another member of Gush Shalom, Teddy Katz, also makes a similar impression.

Although Avnery does overstate his case sometimes, which invites caricature, his considered opinion is that anti-Semitism is a real but negligible force in the world today. “You’d need a magnifying glass to find it.” He believes that the Anti-Defamation League and other Diaspora Jews promote fear of anti-Semitism and awareness of the holocaust in order to drum up support for the Israeli right wing so that they can continue occupation and settlement of Palestinian lands, human rights abuses against Palestinians, and aggression against Israel’s neighbors.

Avnery and his group believe that Israel will only achieve peaceful relations with the Palestinians and its Arab neighbors if the power of Diaspora Jewry and the Israeli right wing is broken. This requires that the fear of anti-Semitism and the grip of the holocaust be weakened. Consciousness of anti-Semitism and the holocaust cultivates feelings of self-pity, anger, revenge. But enmity makes it impossible to pursue peace.

Shamir also takes us to a three day conference organized by the Israeli Foreign Ministry at which Jewish scholars from around the world convened to denounce and rebut Mearsheimer and Walt’s The Israel Lobby. At the end of the conference, David Hirsch, a portly sociology professor with a British accent, stood up to point out that not one of the speakers said a word about Israeli occupation, settlements, and human rights violations on Palestinian lands and how these might contribute to anti-Zionist sentiments around the world.

The other speakers replied with indignation and feigned incomprehension. When Shamir defended Hirsh’s position, an angry American Jew accused him of being like a battered wife who blames herself for her predicament because the alternative—that she lives with a monster—is too depressing to contemplate.

He does not complete his analogy, but the implication is clear: we goyim are monsters. Jews bear no blame for anti-Semitism because anti-Semitism is just a fact of nature, an expression of the baseless wickedness of gentiles. It is disturbing that this idea is widespread among America’s wealthiest and most powerful ethnic group. It would not seem likely that they have our best interests at heart...MORE...LINK

Is Jewish doctrine's absence of ethics towards non-Jews behind runaway Wall Street greed?

(By Chris Moore) -- Jewish journalist Glenn Greenwald has an article on Salon.com documenting that President Obama has taken more campaign donations from the “securities and investment” industry from 1989 through 2010 than any other political figure in the country.

Greenwald's point is that "Wall Street’s most lavishly funded politician" is hardly someone who will be interested in reforming the corrupt economic order that so quickly and easily whisked Obama to the top office in the land. Indeed, such a person is less likely to reform the corrupt Federal Reserve banking system, Wall Street's plunder of American jobs and industry, and the outsourcing of American jobs overseas in order to increase Wall Street profit margins than any other politician out there.

One un-explicit subtext of Greenwald's article was the large number of Jews who are responsible for Wall Street's insatiable greed, and the corrupt system that feeds them. Here are some of the verifiably Jewish operators who have enriched and empowered themselves by way of this system that Greenwald criticizes not as part of a Jewish racket, but in relation to Wall Street greed, corruption, and the rigging of the rules in a way that allows a tiny percentage of elites to funnel such a disproportionate amount of American wealth to themselves, and bankrupt thousands upon thousands of average Americans in the process:

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, Rep. Barney Frank, former treasury secretary and Obama top economic adviser Larry Summers, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, Rep. Chuck Schumer, Obama's former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Obama's former director of Office of Management and Budget, now a top executive at Citigroup Peter Orszag...

This Jewish list comports with the exhaustive research and documentation carried out by writers for the Occidental Observer finding huge numbers of American Jews behind all manner of U.S. financial shenanigans, shady business dealings and corrupt enterprises for decades.

And Jewish-network criminalism has paid off. Research by the Jewish Telegraph found that "at least" 35% of the Forbes 400 wealthiest Americans is Jewish -- a remarkable finding given that Jews comprise less than 2% of the American population.

So what is behind Jewry's insatiable greed and utter lack of ethics?

Ex-Israeli Jew Gilad Atzmon, who has become a leading critic not only of Zionism, but of what he calls Jewish ideology or "Jewishness," recently put his finger on why Israeli Jewish Zionists tend towards outright criminalism vis-a-vis non-Jewish Palestinians...and ironically, it has to do with Jewry's legalistic culture.

According to [Jewish Zionist propaganda agent] Golan Azulai, everything Israel is doing is nothing but ‘legal’. Azulai is obviously wrong. But you may note that the Hasbara man cannot distinguish between ‘the legal’ and ‘the ethical’. This is indeed a fundamental problem within the Jewish discourse both secular and religious.

Judaism is the acceptance of God’s law. It is not an ethically oriented precept- it is a religious method of blind observance. Tragically enough, Zionism that was there initially to ‘liberate’ the Jew is, in practice, just another method of blind observance. In a Talmudic manner, Zionism would cling to legalism and avoid any form of ethical thinking. This fact alone explains why Israel is the biggest threat to humanity and humanism.

What Atzmon seems to be saying here is that because the indoctrinated Jewish brain is trained to look at the world through biblical and Talmudic legalese spelled out in black and white within Jewish doctrine (for example, instruction that God deeded Israel the Levant, Jews are God's chosen people, non-Jews are inferior to Jews, who have entitled primacy over "goyim," etc.), in the Jewish mind, Jews have a virtual free license to exploit Gentiles so long as some "legalistic" rationale can be found within Jewish doctrine (which given the racist nature of Jewish doctrine towards Gentiles, isn't difficult to find at all). And if some specific rule isn't explicitly spelled out somewhere in black and white for every situation, Jewish psychology interprets this as a license to steal.

This absence of ethics in Jewish doctrine vis-a-vis non-Jews combined with an explicit anti-Gentile antipathy certainly goes a long way towards explaining the psychology behind the Jewish bankers' mentality of entitlement to the American people's money simply because they have "legal" access to the Fed printing presses and credit-creating mechanisms, and also explaining Wall Street Jewry's "legal" plunder of the country's resources by way of industry and job export overseas in order to increase profit margins.

"Go to Israel" is becoming a more and more common refrain at Occupy Wall Street for those fed up with Jewish predations to make me wonder if the smarter Jews are getting out while the getting is good, given the rapid rate at which their Diaspora racket is unraveling.

The Emergency Committee for Israel (ECI), has joined the pack of conservative groups working to discredit the Occupy Wall Street Movement. The ECI — a Bill Kristol-Gary Bauer-Rachel Abrams-conceived organization — launched a YouTube ad this morning, seeking to paint the Wall Street protests as anti-Semitic.

The ad, which was faithfully promoted by ECI’s go-to media outlets — Politico’s Ben Smith, the Weekly Standard, and Commentary — alleges that Democratic party leaders are “turning a blind eye to anti-Semitic, anti-Israel attacks,” and urges President Obama and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to “stand up to the mob.”...

ThinkProgress reported in June that two-thirds of ECIPAC’s contributions in the past election cycle came from Daniel S. Loeb, CEO of Third Point Management, a New York based hedge fund.

It's ironic that Zionist Jewry is accusing the Democratic Party and Obama of tolerance for anti-Semitism given that the Party itself is essentially a front for organized Jewish interests, and Obama a mere puppet.

I guess whether Zionist banksters or Zionist land grabbers, no matter how much power, money, or racist, authoritarian control they have, it's never enough.

And even within the Democratic Party they're flaming racists. Why else with Jews under 2% of the US population, are 25% of the Democratic Party senators Jewish? Meanwhile, there's only one Black senator, despite Blacks providing something like 25% of Democratic Party votes.
