When the United Nations declared “Zionism is a form of racism” in 1975, the Jewish/Christian world erupted in anger over such blatant “anti-Semitism.” When President Jimmy Carter titled his best-selling book Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid the Jewish Anti-Defamation League demanded (and got) an apology. Yet for the past week Israel’s media has brought international attention to the declaration by at least 50 top, state-supported municipal rabbis that Zionism is and should be racist and discriminatory.

The rabbis declared Arabs should be treated as unwelcome, second-class citizens to whom Israelis should not rent or sell. Haaretz reports,

‘We don’t need to help Arabs set down roots in Israel,’ Rabbi Shlomo Aviner of the Beit El settlement, said on Tuesday. Aviner explained that he supported the move for two reasons: one, a Jew looking for an apartment should get precedence over a Gentile; and two, to keep the growing Arab population from settling too deeply.

‘Racism originated in the Torah,’ said Rabbi Yosef Scheinen, who heads the Ashdod Yeshiva. ‘The land of Israel is designated for the people of Israel. This is what the Holy One, Blessed Be He, intended and that is what the [sage] Rashi interpreted.’ (Rashi is one of the very greatest Talmudic authorities.)

Voices in Israel’s government repudiated these rabbis. Mertz faction-whip Ilan Ghilon immediately asked the Attorney General to dismiss [from state employment] each of the rabbis who signed their names. (Israel has a law banning incitement to religious hatred.) “We are witnessing an epidemic of racism and xenophobia and we must act firmly,” he said. Prime Minister Netanyahu finally issued a condemnation saying the Bible requires Jews to “love the stranger.”

Yet it is doubted his official statement will go beyond words. It is feared that if the 50 prominent rabbis do not retract their discriminatory commands, 500 lesser rabbis in Israel will preach them.

The original decree commanding Jews not to rent or sell to Arabs was written by chief rabbi of Safed Shmuel Eliyahu who said:

'Their way of life is different than that of the Jews… among [the Gentiles] are those who are bitter and hateful toward us and who meddle in our lives to the point where they are a danger…. The neighbors and acquaintances [of a Jew who sells or rents to an Arab] must distance himself from the Jew, refrain from doing business with him, deny him the right to read from the Torah, and similarly [ostracize] him until he goes back from this harmful deed…'

The rabbi's exhortation toward harsh treatment has taken effect. Followers attacked Arab students and threatened to burn down the homes of Jewish landlords renting to them.

The 50 rabbis’ inflammatory words add fuel to similar declarations over the past few months. Some of Israel’s most authoritative rabbis now publicly contend that authentic, Talmudic Judaism considers the Gentile “goyim” subhuman and says Jews have the right to rule them and even kill them and their children. A Brief History of Jewish Racism

Jewish history quickly reveals that racism is not only woven into the prayer shawl that covers the Orthodox Jew, but it has also played a vital part in defining and even preserving the Jewish race. The ancient Hebrews had a very strong conception of being chosen by God for a special destiny but actual racism does not exist in the Old Testament. Hebrew separatism implemented God’s command not to be contaminated by the morally polluting Canaanites. Except for the cults of human sacrifice which pervaded Central and South America before arrival of Europeans, the ancient Canaanites were unrivaled in their religious requirement of infant sacrifice. They also practiced every kind of idolatry and moral perversion. When Jericho was excavated a century ago, hundreds of urns were discovered, each containing the skeleton of an infant sacrificed to keep the sun shining, rain falling, and crops growing. The Hebrews under Joshua were commanded to exterminate Jericho but not because Canaanites were genetically inferior or even spiritually unclean by birth. Rather, all Canaanite influence had to be removed from God’s chosen people because the “iniquity of the Amorites” would quickly end God’s whole purpose for the Jewish people: to prepare the world for Jesus Christ, the Savior of all mankind.

Yet in about the 2 nd century B.C., a class of religious teachers, the scribes and Pharisees, returned to Palestine from Babylon bringing a very different, malignant, truly racist ethic with them. The Pharisees repeated the boast of the rebels of Korah under Moses who declared that “all the people are holy; every one of them and the Lord is among them.” (Numbers 16) The Pharisees asserted that while Moses was atop Sinai receiving a written law from God, 70 elders were also receiving an oral law. This oral law superseded (and mostly contradicted) the written law. Jesus described this as “the tradition of the elders,” which “made the law of God of none effect.” (Mark 7:13) The Jewish Encyclopedia clarifies how this perverse Pharisaic innovation became the basis for modern, or Talmudic, Judaism. “The whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view… Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all of the future.” (Jewish Encyclopedia, “Pharisees,” pg. 666)

In the several centuries before Christ, the Pharisees taught the Jews that they were spiritually superior to the “goyim” and that their Sanhedrin of 70 elders vastly surpassed the authority of the Mosaic Law. Within a few centuries after Israel’s rejection and crucifixion of Christ, this oral tradition (Mishna) was written down and became, along with supplemental commentary, the vast Babylonian Talmud—the greatest religious and ethical authority for observant Jews. Today, in every Jewish religious school (Yeshivah) in Israel, half of the nation’s children are first educated in the context of Talmud. Young Jewish boys and girls are taught Jews are specially chosen by God to “repair” a world brought into chaos by the Gentiles. Even more menacing, they are taught the Jew is intrinsically higher, divinely favored, even sacred, in comparison to the goyim.

The Talmud, written by those who crucified Jesus, is the glue that holds religious Jews together. Jewish author Herman Wouk in his book This Is My God wrote: “The Talmud is to this day the circulating heart’s blood of the Jewish religion. Whatever laws, customs, or ceremonies we observe – whether we are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or merely spasmodic sentimentalist – we follow the Talmud. It is our common law.”...MORE...LINK

The New Republic and Marty Peretz celebrate Henry Kissinger as a crypto Jewish nationalist agent of influence

(By Chris Moore*) -- The latest release of Nixon tapes has provided an opportunity for Martin Peretz, the deeply bigoted, Jewish Zionist, long-time publisher of the influential, left-liberal mainstay The New Republic, to hold forth in his magazine on how important it is for Jewish nationalism to maintain agents and advocates at the highest levels of power in the U.S.

Peretz starts his article by stating that Republican President Richard Nixon was a mentally ill monster whose "psychopathology included his hatred of Jews, their intellectual character, their State, and them broadly as a nation and people."

Fortunately, according to Peretz, Jewry had what's know as a sayanim or Jewish nationalist operative -- Henry Kissinger -- who was "the smartest, and perhaps the wisest caretaker of American diplomacy since Thomas Jefferson" in the White House to subtly manipulate Nixon and steer him in the right directions. (Nixon, says Peretz, surrounded himself by Jews "doubtless for what he thought to be their devilish smarts.")

Peretz says Kissinger flattered Nixon's anti-Semitism through statements such as the following, which appeared on the newly released tapes.

Kissinger: "The emigration of Jews from the the Soviet Union is not an objective of American foreign policy. And if they put Jews into gas chambers in the Soviet Union, it is not an American concern. Maybe a humanitarian concern."

Nixon: "I know. We won't blow up the world because of it."

Peretz writes:

I know something about Kissinger's maneuvering for the Jewish state and for the Jewish people. I and a few Harvard colleagues were in touch with him, actually met with him during the dread days of the Yom Kippur War when Israel's very survival was at peril. (Henry Rosovsky, Samuel Huntington, Michael Walzer, Thomas Schelling and I comprised the group.) Dr. K. confided to us how difficult it was to persuade his bigoted boss that a great deal of American arms (and sufficient Lockheed C-130s "Hercules" aircraft to deliver them) were needed and needed instantly. There is no doubt in my mind that Kissinger rescued the third commonwealth with these munitions.

But according to Peretz, Nixon wasn't the only hugely powerful anti-Semitic psychopath of that era; there were others, many others from Left to Right, all of whom wanted to do in the Jews once and for all, or at the least stand by and watch as other psychopaths did them in:

Imagine, by the way, if George McGovern had defeated Nixon in the 1972 election. McGovern's enmity to Israel was and is well-documented. There would have been no military aid and no Israel.

So, if Kissinger needed to flatter Nixon in order to convince him, that flattery was also a blessing.

Yes, the Soviet government contemplated another genocide of the Jews and also lesser mortifications of them. But, believe me, no progressives believed this was possible. There is much documented evidence of the falsified "doctors' plot." Again, the American left denied it.

But one doesn't have to contemplate a post-World War II genocide of the Jews by the Soviets. There had already been the Nazi genocide. Did the administration of Franklin Roosevelt target any of its centers? Not for a moment. Even the bombing of Auschwitz, proposed by secretary of the treasury Henry Morgenthau, a Jew, was dismissed with contempt and derision. Henry Kissinger did much better than F.D.R. So, for that matter, did the anti-Semite Richard Nixon.

So as Peretz spins it, the world stood by and watched as Jews were wiped out in World War II (despite the best efforts of Jewish sayanim like Henry Morgenthau) and would have happily stood by and watched the Israelis get wiped out if not for the efforts of Jewish saynim Henry Kissinger.

But let's examine Peretz' narrative a little more closely, especially with regard to Margenthau. A comprehensive historical analysis reveals how Margenthau, far from being disaffected from the supposedly anti-Semitic Left, was a Judeo-Communist sympathiser who sabotaged General George Patton's agenda to take out Stalin and Communism after the Allies had finished off the Nazis. As I put it in a comment on an article about the socialist origins of Zionism:

[By FDR's era] international Jewish socialism had its hooks well into America at that point (the Democrats in particular), so the U.S. was already teetering away from Christianity and towards quasi-socialism and runaway crass materialism itself -- which gave wealthy and powerful Jewish collectivists like FDR's manipulative Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau and his backers the opening that they needed to steer the corrupt FDR/Truman administrations away from what should have been the showdown with Stalin that General Patton wanted and lobbied for. Instead, Morgenthau and his ilk saw to it that Eastern Europe was turned over to the Communists (for political purposes, Wall Street and Jewish international capital purposes, and purposes of sheer vindictiveness) and Eastern European/Russian Christian civilization would thus be subjected to decades more of murderous statist social-engineering (or what the Jewish neocons like to call "preventive war" and nation building).

So Peretz attempts to rewrite a history in which the Left has supposedly always been hostile to Jewry (even though Jewry largely invented and instigated Communism for self-serving purposes); a history in which Jewry's major and even decisive role in the mass murder of millions of Christians, anti-Communist dissidents, peasants and others by Soviet Communists didn't actually take place; and a history in which Jews being killed during World War II had no relationship whatsoever with Jewry's role in Communist mass murder that pre-dated "the Shoah," but instead flowed from Western civilization's anti-Semitism, which (according to Peretz) runs virulent from Left to Right.

Peretz may actually be correct about the latter, but anti-Semitism obviously doesn't come out of the clear blue, but rather ebbs and flows in correlation with Jewish nationalism's own actions and conspiracies, as should be the case in any healthy, functional civilization under assault from what Peretz has openly admitted are secret Jewish nationalists agents pursing Jewry's own self-serving agenda from within -- Jewish nationalist agents such as Henry Morgenthau, Henry Kissinger, Jonathan Pollard, Marty Peretz himself, and thousands more U.S. Jewish Zionists shaping an Israel first policy from both inside and outside the U.S. government to the detriment of Americans.

Marty Peretz can hardly confess to Jewish nationalist, Israel-first conspiracies, operations and actions perpetrated by Jewish Zionist operatives under the guise of serving U.S. policy and interests, and then simultaneously complain about the existence of anti-Semitism. Well, actually, he can. It's called chutzpah. And it's again growing increasingly blatant and menacing, this time to Americans and their interests.

The project of translating Alexandr Solzhenitisyn’s 200 Years Together into English continues apace. The 18,000-word Chapter 19, “In the 1930s” is now available (see here). The decade of the 1930s was tragic almost beyond description. The main idea advanced by Solzhenitsyn is that all segments of Soviet society suffered, including Jews who had been members of the elite. However, the suffering of Jews pales in comparison to the suffering of the Ukrainian and Russian farmers undergoing forced collectivization. Moreover, Jews were never targeted as Jews, and in general Jews remained vastly overrepresented in elite positions throughout the period, even after the purges.

Solzhenitsyn emphasizes the culpability of the West. The brutal process of industrialization was carried out with the cooperation of Western merchants and bankers eager to do business with the Soviet Union. Such commercial cooperation had been prohibited under the Czars because Jewish activist organizations had pressured governments not to do business with Russia because of its treatment of Jews — much as there are now sanctions against trading with Iran because of the concerns of the Israel Lobby. As we also see today, financial and commercial interests were not concerned with ideological commitment to capitalism or with human rights but simply sought to expand their profits. Trade was allowed because there was the perception in the West that “Soviet power would not oppress the Jews, but on the contrary, that many of them would remain at the levers of power.”

And indeed, many Jews did remain in positions of power. As usual, Solzhenitsyn is at his trenchant best when he skewers the historical blind spots of Jewish apologists. This one is particularly precious: “In the 1980s we see assertions like this: in the Soviet times, the Jews in the USSR were ‘practically destroyed as a people; they had been turned into a social group, which was settled in the large cities as a social stratum to serve the ruling class.’”

The outrageous claim that Jews were mere pawns being manipulated by a nefarious ruling class is ridiculous because, as Solzhenitsyn notes, in fact “Jews were to the large extent members of the ‘ruling class.’” While the rest of the country suffered from mass murder, starvation, and political oppression, the government’s efforts were directed at “improved provisioning, furnishing and maintenance” of the urban areas where Jews predominated...MORE...LINK

I suppose someday Jewish apologists will attempt maintain that the (at least) 139 of the Forbes 400 who are Jewish were simply “used” by the “real” elites to take the fall if capitalism ever went into major disrepute.

One of those signs that is sure to send a chill through the Israel lobby.

A couple of days ago Roger Cohen did an anguished Op-Ed for the New York Times about the American Jewish community's intolerance of criticism of Israel, even as Israeli leadership is destroying "the Zionist dream." The column brought an outpouring of comments, about 238 so far.

And what is remarkable about the comments is that, while there is a lot of the inevitable defense of anything Israel does, the best letters are from Jews and non-Jews who are sharply critical of Israel and want a more open discussion. And if you rank the letters as readers did, by # of recommendations, the top ten letters are all critical, with the exception of one that is neutral. The #1 letter far and away is one that calls Israel a "fascist state" for Palestinians, and says that Israel is dragging the U.S. down, and the second letter is from a man who complains that he can't talk about Israel in front of his Jewish friends. And a couple of other letters express strong Palestinian solidarity or strike as I do at racist constructions of Jewish identity.

It raises the questions: If these are the Times's readers, why aren't they better represented in the Times' coverage and opinion columns, and for that matter in the liberal press generally, and in Congress? How can the Washington Post justify its virtually-all-neoconservative Op-Ed page when intelligent Americans maintain these views? Where are the non-Zionists, Palestinian solidarity folks and realists in our discourse?

The promotion of a loyalty oath by the extreme right in Israel has presented yet another window through which the thoroughly racist nature of the Jewish state can be glimpsed by those outside its national boundaries. This should not cause any surprise. It is common knowledge, or perhaps ought to be, that Israel was founded in 1948, as a colonialist enterprise promoted exclusively for the benefit of Jews. Therefore a loyalty oath which requires citizens to swear to uphold the ‘Jewish’ character of the state of Israel, is completely in line with its founding principles. However, what has also been revealed by this promotion of a loyalty oath, is the Zionist nature of the response to it by the so-called ‘left’ in Israel. They have been motivated to claim that this latest requirement would transform Israel into a Fascist state. For example;

"A state which forcibly invades the hallowed realm of the individual citizen's conscience, and which imposes punishment on those whose opinions and beliefs do not fit the authorities' opinions and the prescribed "character" of the state, stops being a democracy and embarks on becoming a fascist state.” (Declaration of Independence from Fascism)

Of course in the real world, it is not exclusively a loyalty oath which distinguishes fascism from other forms of governance. The list of characteristics which distinguish fascism in 1930’s Germany, for example contain, amongst others; racial discrimination/exclusion, militarism, savage exploitation, ghettoisation, civilian movement restrictions along with brutal treatment and control of those designated as ’undesirables’. All of which were ’normal’ in Israel before the recent idea to include a loyalty oath. Yet it is this previous fascistic normality which the above left protestors against a loyalty oath seek to defend. Their declaration continues:

“Behind these stairs where we stand, the state of Israel was proclaimed. The state which increasingly takes Israel's place – a state which fills the country with a variety of racist legislation, promoted by the Knesset and the cabinet – is excluding itself from the family of democratic nations.” (ibid)

These left Zionists honoured the foundation of the state of Israel, whose authors orchestrated the Nakba and the continued genocidal treatment of Palestinians, by making their declaration as close as possible to the original site of the founding declaration of Israel. This Israel (1948 - 2010) which routinely conducts heavily armed intrusions into defenceless Palestinian homes and murders defenceless civilians is only now, by means of a loyalty oath, considered fascist by the ‘left’ and to have taken a step which serves to exclude it “from the family of democratic nations“. Even the 2009 Blitskrieg of Gaza did not encourage the atrophied humanity of these ‘lefts’ to attempt to raise any grievances to a similar conspicuous position. As one critic of this left opposition to the loyalty oath grievance, noted;

“Proclaiming that “grievance” serves precisely to appropriate another attack on the people whose country really was stolen. By proclaiming the founders victims of an expropriation of “their” country, the document naturalizes them in Palestine, and by the same token it naturalizes the spoils of 1948.” (Gabriel. Indeed! A left group which is stirred, into thinking its so-called ‘democratic‘ Jewish Israel is only moving toward fascism, because of an individual loyalty oath are clearly not understanding the world as many humanists and others view it. Such Israeli’s are living in a virtual world entirely of their own and other Zionists making. It is a world in which the results of a particular form of colonial aggression are now taken for granted by them as indisputable and privileged ’facts on the ground‘. The Zionist left is revealed not as a humanist left, but a Jewish left, totally at one with ‘their’ colonialist acquired gains. This position arises, as with other racist ideologies, due to the acceptance of Jewishness as a primary form of identity rather than a secondary one. There is nothing particularly wrong with secondary identities, based upon religion, ethnicity, nationality or even gender, but there is everything wrong with making these the primary form of identity in the modern world. This is because they are the means by which divisions are instigated, elevated and perpetuated, leading to discrimination, intolerance and prejudice. These often ancient, and sooner or later, always retrograde views in turn have led humanity to systematically exploit, oppress and destroy other human beings. The medium of this destruction being variously; religious conflict, nationalist conflict, ethnic conflict and gender-based conflict. Humanity, really needs to move on from such partisan tribalised posturing. The state of Israel was erected precisely upon the basis that within it, Jewish identity and the needs of Jews were to be elevated above the needs of all other human beings. The Genocide of the 20th century Nakba and 21st century Blitskrieg of Gaza against Palestinians (and all in between) are the logical results of the passionate and sustained elevation of one group of humanity over another.

In this particular case, in order to identify oneself primarily as Jewish and therefore to subscribe to a collective Jewish identity, it is necessary to accept a claim to a specific shared history and culture. Yet it is a history and culture founded upon a religion, and for this reason it is a history from which it is all but impossible to escape. This is so, whether a Jewish person is directly influenced by religion or not. For example;

“The message of the Chosen People makes sense in secular, nationalist and historical terms…The Jews can be considered a self-chosen people…Though I reject theology, the single most important book in my life is the Bible.” (Ben-Gurion. Rejecting God in this case, as with other such cases, is not necessarily accompanied by a critical re-examination of the whole culture based upon it. As the example of Ben-Gurion and others illustrates, secular forms of Jewish identity saw ‘sense’ in the biblical message of ‘Chosen People’ and ‘Promised Land‘. Even those who didn’t lean so heavily on the bible or embrace God so enthusiastically, nevertheless identified themselves with a common Jewish history and culture, which was comprehensively and inescapably founded upon both these factors. So despite varying historical interpretations and secular preferences, the egotistical acceptance of this specific ‘common’ history and culture, is the connective tissue which unites left secular Zionists and rightwing fundamentalist settler Zionists. To be more specific, the identity confirmed by this shared history is one of cultural exclusivity, self-governance and a self-identification as a ‘special’ part of humanity - all of which were and are religiously promoted. It is the common acceptance and vigorous defence of this ‘identity’ which makes it inevitable that both Jewish, left peace activists, and right settler activists defend the right for Israel to exist as an exclusive Jewish state. Jews must not rent homes to “gentiles”. That was the religious decree issued this week by at least 50 of Israel’s leading rabbis, many of them employed by the state as municipal religious leaders. Jews should first warn, then “ostracize” fellow Jews who fail to heed the directive, the rabbis declared.

The decree is the latest in a wave of racist pronouncements from some of Israel’s most influential rabbis.

In October, Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of Safed, delivered a ruling, signed by 17 other rabbis in the city, telling Jewish residents not to sell or rent property to members of the country’s Palestinian Arab minority, who make up a fifth of the population.

His followers turned words into deeds by attacking Arab students in the city and threatening to burn down the homes of Jewish landlords renting to the students...

The latest ruling was signed by Shlomo Aviner, a spiritual leader of Israel’s national-religious camp; Yosef Elyashiv, a senior ultra-Orthodox rabbi; and Avigdor Neventzal, rabbi of Jerusalem’s Old City.

Its sentiments have also been echoed by Ovadia Yosef, a former chief rabbi of Israel and the spiritual leader of Shas, an important political and religious party in Mr Netanyahu’s government. “Selling to [non-Jews], even for a lot of money, is not allowed. We won’t let them take control of us here,” Mr Yosef said recently.

Two months ago, Mr Yosef explained the logic behind his views and those of like-minded rabbis.

“Goyim [non-Jews – gentiles] were born only to serve us.” Explaining why God allowed non-Jews long lives, he added: “Imagine that your donkey would die, you’d lose your income. [The donkey] is your servant... That’s why he [the gentile] gets a long life, to work well for the Jew.”

Mr Yosef’s remarks against “gentiles” were greeted with respectful silence by Israeli officials and most of the media…

The rabbis’ use of theology to support racial discrimination is being applied to more than just housing.

Yitzhak “Shapira, who advocates killing non-Jewish babies, receives large sums from the [Israeli] Education Ministry for his yeshiva – a seminary where he spreads his message of hate. Religious students also receive extra subsidies unavailable to normal students to encourage their attendance at such yeshivas.”

This summer, Yosef Elitzur and Yitzhak Shapira, who head an influential seminary in the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar, published The King’s Torah, a 230-page guide to how Jews should treat non-Jews.

The two rabbis concluded that Jews were obligated to kill anyone who posed a danger, immediate or potential, to the Jewish people, and implied that all Palestinians were to be considered a threat. On these grounds, the pair justified killing Palestinian civilians and even their babies.

Last month Mr Shapira also backed the use of Palestinians as human shields, a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention, and a practice that Israel’s Supreme Court has outlawed.

The King’s Torah, far from being condemned by moderate rabbis, has been greeted with a general silence and enthusiastic support from a number of notable religious leaders...

...A poll by the Israeli Democracy Institute published last week showed that 46 per cent of the country’s Jews did not want to live near Arab citizens, and 39 per cent felt the same about foreign workers.

Even more, 53 per cent, wanted Arab citizens to be encouraged to leave Israel and half believed Arabs should not have equal rights with Jews. Among the religious public, racist sentiments were more popular.

Israeli prosecutors, meanwhile, have turned a blind eye to the refusal of several prominent endorsers of The King’s Torah to obey a summons calling them for investigation. “Our holy Torah is not a subject for investigation or trial by flesh and blood,” the rabbis said.

In all, the rabbinical establishment is growing increasingly bold in promoting its vision of a Jewish state run according to holy law, according to Zvi Barel, a commentator with the daily newspaper Haaretz.

“They and their supporters are transforming zealous fundamentalism and the shameful The King’s Torah into the mainstream,” Mr Barel wrote recently.

The general trend towards extremism has not happened by chance, said Sefi Rachelevsky, a prominent Israeli writer critical of the Orthodox rabbinate. Israel’s public coffers pay the salaries of some of the most extremist rabbis, and the education system regularly falls under the political control of religious parties like Shas.

(New York) - Jordanian authorities should fully investigate and publicly condemn the recent refusal by the owner of an Aqaba restaurant to serve Israeli Jews, Human Rights Watch said today.

The restaurant owner told Human Rights Watch that the people she turned away in late November 2010 had gone on to file a complaint with the police, but that the police told her they did not intend to pursue the incident. Jordan is bound by its international obligations to prohibit and eliminate racial discrimination in any place intended for use by the general public, such as a restaurant, Human Rights Watch said.

"When it comes to restaurants, there's an obligation even on private businesses not to discriminate based on nationality or religion," said Christoph Wilcke, senior Middle East researcher at Human Rights Watch.

Yes it's bad that a Jordanian restaurant discriminated in this manner. But this is a pressing HRW concern? At Rabbis for Human Rights the other day we learned that 290,000 Palestinians are served by one mental health clinic in Jerusalem while 500,000 Jews are served by a dozen clinics. Palestinians can't even get back to their homes or what's left of them in Gaza. I guess not getting a meal in one restaurant in Jordan is on the same level as the bombing of Gaza, the destruction of houses in Silwan, the wall and 500,000 settlers living on stolen land...LINK

A numbr of leading rabbis who signed on to a religious ruling to forbid renting homes to gentiles – a move particularly aimed against Arabs – defended their decision on Tuesday with the declaration that the land of Israel belongs to the Jews.

Dozens of Israel's municipal chief rabbis signed on to the ruling, which comes just months after the chief rabbi of Safed initiated a call urging Jews to refrain from renting or selling apartments to non-Jews.

Signatories include the chief rabbis of Ramat Hasharon, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, Rishon Letzion, Carmiel, Gadera, Afula, Nahariya, Herzliya, Nahariya and Pardes Hannah, among a number of other cities.

"We don't need to help Arabs set down roots in Israel," Rabbi Shlomo Aviner of the Beit El settlement, said on Tuesday. Aviner explained that he supported the move for two reasons: one, a Jew looking for an apartment should get preference over a gentile; and two, to keep the growing Arab population from settling too deeply.

In a unique interview with an official at the highest policy levels of the Pentagon, White House and, eventually, CIA, we are offered a unique “behind the curtains” look at areas of policy making during the period between 1999 and 2007. Extensive notes have been taken of meetings with President Bush and all his top policy advisers. This is only a teaser.

A highly placed source within the White House and CIA confirmed, in an interview, that the invasion of Iran was scheduled for 2006 but planned in 1999. We have heard some of this before but not with so many pieces and, I am told, more to come. In an interview with a Bush administration policy official:

Q. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your work at the White House? You have read my articles, what do you think of my take on things?

A. You are closer than anyone else in understanding how things worked, the only person willing to simply put it out there. You also come at things like the Pentagon people I have worked with, the ones who stood against Bush, Cheney and the AIPAC gang at the NSC (National Security Council.) I can also see that you don’t have background material that you need. Some of it you have wrong, particularly the motives for Iraq. It was always Iran, Iraq was simply a door.

Q. You talk about journalists. What has your experience been?

A. I have good friends at the New York Times, Time Magazine, the Washington Post and others. They know all of this. They aren’t fooled. They could write anything but it would never hit print...

Q. When you talk about McCain not being vulnerable, he certainly was in South Carolina, a few rumors and smears and he was gone. You say Bush is more vulnerable?

A. “A window into a lot of this can be found in the the Rosen-AIPAC lawsuit . Bush has serious issues, let’s just leave it at that.

As for Rosen, he just wasn’t an AIPAC lobbyist, he sat inside the National Security Council until 2005 as the Rand Corporation’s Director of Foreign Policy. When the press talks about an AIPAC employee and spying, he didn’t join AIPAC until later, after his arrest.

The FBI investigation and his indictment for spying covered a time when he was at the center of the Bush administration, a key policy formulator at the highest levels of government. Rosen, indicted in 2004 for spying for Israel, was responsible for formulating American policy in the Middle East and largely responsible for the fate of the Palestinian people, a bit of a conflict of interest for an Israeli lobbyist and accused spy.”

Q. Rosen has made some accusations, says AIPAC spies all the time and that they do nothing but watch pornography there. You worked with this guy, what do you know?

A. “Rosen has dirt on absolutely everyone. His divorce depositions are fascinating reading. They are sealed now but there are copies out there. I know that reporters at Time Magazine have them, others too. The FBI has tons, they were after Rosen for years. As for AIPAC, Rosen told me of their spy operations many times, but nobody needed telling, they were more than obvious to all of us...

Q. What do you know about 9/11?

A. “9/11 was planned as early as 1999 or before, to be executed as soon as the Bush team was in place. One meeting in April 2001, a meeting outlining the invasion of Iraq, may have been the green light.’ Chalibi was in place early on, from day number one. I remember telling them he was a known crook, totally disreputable and that things in Iraq would fall apart immediately. Nobody in the National Security Council ever spoke about what they would do once Saddam was overthrown. Nobody really seemed to care.

Of course, none of those people have real experience with military issues or, in fact, much of anything else.”

Q. How was the Iran invasion supposed to work?

A. “This is where so many have it wrong. In fact, there was never serous discussion about terrorism or Al Qaeda or bin Laden. These things weren’t even a sideshow. The only talk about any of it was how it could be used to justify going into Iraq and then attacking Iran.

Q. The intel on Iraq, we all know it was wrong. When was that learned?

A. “The administration didn’t believe false intelligence, it created it, order it in place before the election to be ready for, well I guess, 9/11. Silencing Plame and Joe Wilson, those were the same people who planned the creation of the phony intelligence. There was never a discussion of a serious terrorist threat against the United States. These guys would have fallen off their chairs laughing themselves to death. It was all a joke to them, 9/11, the Iraq invasion, all of it.”

Q. Back to Iran, how was the invasion to start?

A. “Everything was going to happen in Bahrain. Plans were to attack Americans, blow up clubs, restaurants. There were plans to stage a “Tonkin Gulf’ type attack and blame it on Iranian torpedo boats. Guys in the military were aware of this and there was strong opposition. Marine Colonel Joe Molofsky was the real hero here. He did more to scramble administration plans than anyone else, Molofky and General Mattis. These were really straight shooters, how I learned to trust the Marine Corps.

The government there, their security services, I believe they were deeply involved. It would have been good to see something about this in Wikileaks.”

Q. You said that war had to start by 2006. Was there a timetable?

A. “Absolutely. General Petraeus was sent to Iraq to quiet things down, not to win a war or create a lasting peace, nothing like that. His job was to shut things down so an operation against Iran could be staged from Iraq.”

Q. But that never got off the ground…

A. “No kidding, and Bush was enraged. It was the only reason he was put in office in the first place, as long as Iran survived, he was a failure, no matter what happened to the US.”

Q. Didn’t they know that war with Iran would have driven oil to $300 a barrel and collapsed the American economy?

A. “There were never briefings on that like there were never briefings on stabilizing Iraq. Nobody cared, nobody noticed and it was never discussed. It was really all about Iran and orders came in and people did what they were told like good little soldiers.”

Q. Orders? From where?

A. “All of it, all foreign policy issues, were out of AIPAC, they ran everything in the Bush administration. That was the whole point of it. We never were told why we had to destroy Iran only that it had to be done. Nobody ever asked why. Nobody ever believed Iran had a credible nuclear program and, eventually, we were all very certain they never would. There was never an issue about Iran being a threat or not. There was never an issue of motive of any kind. These were orders, plain and simple, the administration that will come into office in 2001 will be tasked with destroying Iran, tasked by AIPAC who will control all key position in the administration.”

Q. Was there talk about Lebanon and the threat of Hizbollah?

A. “There really weren’t talks at all, only planning on how to follow policy, never on what policy should be or what was right or wrong. For decades, “The 92nd St. Y”—as in Young Men’s Hebrew Association—has been a bastion of progressive thought in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The community center describes itself as “a proudly Jewish institution that reaches out to people of every race, ethnicity, religion, age and economic class.”

Last fall, the Y featured a revealing discussion on “the Left, the Right, and Judaism” between the conservative moralist Dennis Prager and superlawyer, liberal activist, and Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz. David Frum joined them as moderator. It was a discussion between Jews, for Jews, and about Jewish interests, which is something Jews do quite a bit of. Highlights can be viewed here and here.

The turgid opinions on Zionism expressed by Prager and Dershowitz aren’t particularly unusual, and so we shouldn’t get caught up in, for instance, Prager’s claim, “There is something wrong with your moral barometer if you’re anti-Israel.”

The discussion ultimately amounted to a friendly debate over whether conservatives or liberals were Best For The Jews (that is, most supportive of Zionism and least prone to “anti-Semitism). What I found most striking was that each man stressed just how happy he was that there were so many Jews in the opposing camp—and how he only hoped there might be more some day.

This is a funny thing to argue. I’m not sure I could utter something like, “Ted Kennedy destroyed the American nation with the ’65 Immigration Act—long live his family!” Or “I disagree with most everything Keith Olbermann says on his show—I only wish there were more like him!”

I don’t have much affection for Kennedy and Olbermann, and a host of other non-Jews on the Left. I want to discredit them, defeat them. I generally wish they weren’t around, and I look forward to the day when their arguments will be invalid and ignored.

This sense of finality seems quite natural. And since Prager cites moral justifications for his political opinions (as opposed to, say, utilitarian or economic ones), it’s rather shocking that he’s so eager to tolerate the Alan Dershowitzs of the world—indeed, to express his hope that they go forth and multiply.

What becomes clear in discussions like this one is that Jews view Left and Right as static—as two components of a system they operate in. I don’t think Prager and Dershowitz are insincere in their beliefs and opinions. It’s simply a matter of issues like, say, abortion and social welfare policy being completely subordinated to the REAL issue (and you know what that is.) For this reason, they’re delighted to see more of their kind in prominent positions “on the other side.”

This metapolitics has obviously been successful for them. Note how in the second video, Prager says that the Jews ridiculed and attacked George W. Bush—but did so in full confidence that he would never stop standing up for Zionists and risking his political career on their behalf...MORE...LINK

It’s ironic that organized Jewry was tenaciously anti-nationalist and anti-fascist with communist inclinations prior to World War II (or posed as such), and yet when it finally suited its purposes has essentially turned on a dime, taken off its mask, and declared its own Jewish nationalist version of fascism suddenly kosher, and additionally that “there is something wrong with your moral barometer if you’re anti-Israel,” i.e. anti-Judeofascist.

What’s so shocking and infuriating is how many gullible Gentiles politically follow Jewry around like lost puppies, and will turn on a dime themselves every time Jewry shifts direction, and start aping and validating Jewry’s behavior. No wonder Jewry regards the Goyim as animals -- and no wonder Jewry despises authentic Christians, who won’t just acquiesce every time the psychotic pharisees issue a new order or demand.

The “Christian” Zionists, of course, are another story. They’re as gullible and whipped as even the dumbest and weakest of liberals. It helps, I guess, to have guys like Prager working the Right, guys like Dershowitz working the Left, and the Zionist mainstream media validating everything they say. But Jeez, one would think more Americans would have at least a LITTLE bit of backbone.

All of it really makes me wonder how this country ever became a superpower. I guess for a lot American Christians (so called), it only takes a couple of generations for authentic, Jewish-antithesis Christianity to be totally lobotomized. But look at them now, following Jewish Zionists around like zombies. How sad. How pathetic. How weak.
